Reading for discipleship and counsel. Walking through this book with a younger girl. Already love this book so much. So. Much.

I’ve never been disappointed with NGP books. Always aiming at the heart and giving us Jesus.

Great gift for an upper high schooler, college student, or anyone struggling to make sense of their place in the world.

Great discipleship resource.

Also, fantastic to read in conjunction with Mothering Against Futility

What a great resource for teen/young adult discipleship, but even for personal reflection.

Ruminating on ‘what-ifs’ are a different kind of questioning “from open-handed spiritual reflection. It is different from the trusting posture, or a time-limited season of prayerful self-examination, of considering where we might be wrong or shortsighted or overly self-oriented.” (20)
Wouldve been great 7yrs ago as I fell into the pit. (I’m out now!)so thnkfl for this book & it’s right voice on anxiety

Kristin Have you read Just Do Something by Kevin De Young? May be helpful if you want any other resources similar to this.

Renee Young Yes I love that book!! I mentioned that one to her. But I got this one for free at our parenting forum (lol, from my husband haha) and wanted to read it. This one dives a little more into the anxiety part which I’m grateful for. I was telling her about Paul and the book of Acts where Paul thinks that it “seems” to be a good idea to go to XYZ so he goes and that our decisions don’t need to be overthought and super “spiritual.” See the door and walk or don’t. Just make the decision and trust that God will work in that as you walk in faithfulness wherever you are. Anyway, that just blew her mind about Paul. I loved that part in DeYoungs book. Loved it so much!

Kristin That sounds like a really good book too! I wish that view and resources had been more common when we were growing up! Seemed like everything pointed to how we were going to ruin God's plan and he was gonna be mad 🙃 thankful that resources like these are available now though.
How cool that you are getting to share that with her! Praise God!

Renee Young Yes! Totally agree with you.
