I heard about this book on the Folklands Podcast (evidently a favorite of Justin Chubb) and found it on my shelves as part of my subscription to the British Library Tales of the Weird, so it seemed a good time to read it. Early days, but so far, very, VERY good.

I am still very much enjoying these stories which seem rather tame until a certain point and then comes the WHAM. I'm hoping I don't finish this one too quickly.
