This has nothing to do with the book but it got me thinking. Africa is so overlooked as a place for people to invest. It’s the only place with a growing population and its young. 12 out of the 30 fastest growing economies are in Africa. Huge demand for infrastructure. Only problem…..political corruption. If u fix that it would be a gold mine.

A lot of WSJ references and Barron articles. Probably one of the best business books I’ve ever read so far. Brad Jacobs definitely knows how to create a strong organization that values their people. Businesses should definitely see employees as assets than expenses. It should be THE last place a business should make cuts, although it’s the easiest.

First two chapters talk a lot about the economy. Out of the 15 recessions we’ve had 12 were under republican presidents. Safe to say DEI does in fact stand for “Da Economy Intact”. #shrink
