It’s so interesting to see how Penelope Douglas developed as a writer. This being one of her early works, the progress she made till she wrote Punk 57 is very clear. So as I am reading this book, I am keeping in mind that this was written in 2015, and that she was still growing as a writer, and hence appreciating it without too much judgment.

Gosh this is awful. I said it. I am sorry. I fucking hate this. I am having a bad time reading this book. This is simply written for teens in 2015. I wholeheartedly think it should be illegal to read this book in 2025.

I hate the fact he's called Tyler. Anytime I am reminded of his name, it's like a slap in my face. Penelope babe, you are too good to have your mmc called TYLER. EW. hahahahah I don't know why I have a strong opposition to the name. No offense to all Tylers. Now I feel guilty. Sorry.
