The Assassin and the Desert really affected me. Ansel is one of the best and most conflicted characters in the series so far, I really hope to see more of her, but I'm very doubtful. This bind up just keeps pulling me in. I can't wait to start Heir of Fire!

The Assassin and the Healer was much more interesting and captivating, I breezed right through it.

It was extremely difficult for me to get into the first novella, and I'm not entirely sure why. The second half got much better and I did eventually breeze through it in one sitting, but I hope the other four novellas don't start as slow for me.
