Rudy and liesel are becoming more and more mature as time progresses. the war is continuing on and rudy is determined to impress his hitler youth group as much as possible. liesel is continuing to read and is beginning to see how racist the country is toward jews, especially with the parade of them that marched through the town towards a concentration camp.

liesel just stol her first book when she realized the governors wife saw her do it all after the book burning. Hans is going through an emotional time especially when liesel shouted that she hated hitler in public.
