I’m gonna hit pause on this one. The purpose of this book is for the characters to work through so much trauma. It’s a lot and it just drones on. I may come back to this later but for now I want to read something…not dreadful

I’m starting to feel disappointed. Every time it starts getting good, the POV changes. I’ve been skimming the majority of this one. Also, the whole loss of her ribbons is a major bummer. Torture isn’t supposed to be satisfying….but she couldn’t keep ANY of them? They all had to be taken all at once? Ugh, I hope somehow she can grow them back

This is so drawn out. I get it in the sense that the writing is to made in a way for us to experience the feeling of Slades eagerness. However, I’m over 100 pages in and girlie is STILL half dead. We don’t need to keep discussing the stalactites
