The spy action stuff is solid, definitely good punchy pulp, but the internal dialogues are what make this worth the read for me. Especially when you get to the part where Hathaway dishes about his love for ‘bad girls’ and where it came from. Simultaneously humourous and heartbreaking.

This textual depiction of mobile suit combat in a populated urban environment, and how civilians barely escape being caught in the crossfire, is great. Just a shame I saw the anime adaptation first, so this kind of pales in comparison, but still spectacular. Teasing out more character drama through their political ideals is welcome, hope to see much more of this!
