Having the preface of Dantes' large vengeance plot be his restoration of good people is a very powerful symbol of providence, which seems to play a large part in the story. Even though we know who is pulling what strings, the book still weaves it in a way that highlights the working of the Creator in all of this appearingly human interactions. This small portion was an incredible good read.
