I never want to read the phrase “slender, creamy neck” ever the fuck again

I already didn’t care for Tamlin but it sounds like he really sucks

Picking this back up. This book is insane. Why is Feyre a simp all of a sudden? Her whole personality deflated like an air mattress from 1998. Also her white ass telling Tamlin’s white (coded) ass that he never made her feel like chattel on god if I ever see Sarah j maas in person it is on SIGHT (still hooked but a little less so bc feyre sucks all of a sudden)

I’ve reached the stopping point form my reading group but this book is a solid 3.5 rn. And that missing 1.5 is just SJM’s bad writing. Sometimes it genuinely feels like I’m reading fanfic. Sometimes it feels like pharmacy Fabio cover paperback smut. The bones of the story are strong and I’m happy to be reading it but this book needs a good editor stat

Talked with a friend from my reading club recently about the book so far and we agree: the story is interesting but Sarah J Maas is a bad writer and her editor (assuming she had one) did not do enough to fix it

Struggling to put down this book, I’m supposed to stop at chapter 22 for my book club but I need feyre to honk Lucien’s horn and I feel like she won’t :(

But I want Feyre to fuck Lucien :(

I am thoroughly enjoying the hell out of this book but all of the repetition omfg give it a REST you have such a good story and the repetitions do not add emphasis they detract!!!

Lucien is an obnoxious slut and I fw him heavy

There’s this weird trope with dystopian novels where they have to make it abundantly clear that the female protagonist isn’t ugly and instead she has subtle nice features like god let women be busted!!!!
