I would die for Hickory

Quinn is definitely growing on me and I do think that the romance between her and Aeron is cute. I’m definitely heavily invested at this point. The writing style still isn’t my favourite though. I think maybe I’d resonate with it more if I was younger.

I love Hickery! I think he’s definitely my favorite character so far.

Still not a huge fan of Quinn but maybe she’ll grow on me as the story progresses. As of right now, she comes across as pretty selfish and arrogant. Her obsession with piracy with no regard for how it affects everyone else is kind of annoying.

The world building is great though the pros feel a bit clunky at times. I do wish that there was a bit more whimsy in the descriptions of things since it is a fairy story.

I feel like Aston warmed up to Quinn too fast after finding out who she was. I think the story could have benefitted with a slightly slower pace when writing their relationship.

On chapter 9.
I’m having fun and I’m definitely invested, though I do find Quinn a bit annoying at times. I might just not be super into the ‘tough-stoic female MC’ trope though. We got introduced to Aereon and he’s cute. I like that the Nymph’s have blue skin in their mermaid form.

Super invested! It’s quite fast paced which I appreciate (less fluff)
