I have to pause this book for now — it weighs heavily on me. It lays out, with painful clarity, how cruel the world is, especially toward women and people of color. Facts and eloquence can expose injustice, but they rarely change it. I hope to return to it one day, but at the moment, it's simply too much to carry.
