DNF @ page 67. Genuinely I am getting lost in the three different perspectives, and I know for certain that it’s going to get really good— everyone says this is River’s best work— but right now I just need to read something that is faster paced to get me out of this minor slump I am in 😅 I will pick it up again one day I pinky promise.

Dang this is so dark and heavy already :(. I love the way doubt is depicted here. It’s such a real feeling as a Christian— doubting the Lord’s goodness, faithfulness, and His promises during times of hardship and suffering. Rivers did a great job depicting this spiritual battle Hadassah is facing.
