I find the language/phrasing a bit jarring in places, to the point where I have to re-read sentences said by the protagonist but I like it, and think it adds layers and authenticity to the character who is from a particular region, and era. Aside from that I'm really enjoying this story to the point where I put it on hold because I knew I was going to finish it too quickly.
