At this point the title of the book should be “willful ignorance” bc that’s simply what it is. People with authority spew scientifically and logically incorrect information, step off and then refuse to back up their argument because to read the research and documentation they’d have to interact w/ works of the devil or something denied in church dogma, They’re choosing to ignore fact because it’s easier

Getting thru the TERF chapter was tough. I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that these people don’t even have truthful justification for their stance. Like hardly ever is a stance not contradictory or rooted in lies. From the individual country view, to the Vatican, to the conservative right in the US and to the TERFS in the UK. No factual information backs up their argument

I’m quite excited but just what the introduction has to say. Butler is aiming to answer questions I’ve asked for so long now. I hope I finish this book feeling educated and w a deeper understanding. I wonder if this book will just piss me off more, considering it was written a year ago, post trump reelection, in the midst of what the book was predicting would happen.
