And so the journey begins (almost).

Frodo is kinda just the exposition receiver, asking questions for the audience rather than as a character on his one. Actually, the talk with Gandalf and him, interesting as it is, is basically just Gandalf saying what the audience needs to know for the story to start and Frodo just listens to everything and asks what Tolkien wanted to explain. I hope that in specific gets better.

Since the age of seven, this is the book I’ve been waiting on getting to, and with my finishing of The Hobbit a bit ago, it was just a matter of time before moving onto this, and I only wish I had sooner. God am I loving it. Already, though the tone is not too different, I can tell there’s something much larger going on here, and I’m very interested, even with my knowledge, to see it unfold before me. Here goes
