An excerpt from today:
"The idea that we should 'maintain the rage' has taken hold, more widely, as if there's some value - even some virtue - in staying angry; as if letting go of our anger would somehow be a a sign of weakness; as if the outrage we felt at the time we were offended would lose some of its force if we let our passions cool into a more considered response." --page 125

[Talking about the need to connect in real life to people] "...how much time is left in a day? By all means, devote some of it to social media use, but don't ever assume that what you're doing online is in the same league as those things that really satisfy the deep human yearning for a sense of belonging." (Page 113)

So far it is fantastic. Really hitting on some thoughts about communication and over-connectivity in the digital sense that I've been mulling over lately
