One character that I didn't really agree with a lot was Babou because he was always mysterious and just odd about things but it turns out that was just his medical condition and he has since tried opening up to Darius and Sohrab has helped Darius understand that Babou cant always really say what he wants to say

A character I often disagree with is Darius because he's always so awkward and assumes the worst of other people's thoughts and himself, which I don't understand. He is so nervous and he lets people use him as an emotional punching bag which pisses me off. I think that is a way he is different than me.

Darius and his family are visiting the origins of his home country with sohrab

Unspoken rules/ tacit codes impact our sense of belonging because with them we have a sense of knowing what's going on and being included but without them it feels that we are sort of being left out or there is something being kept from us. A good example can be seen with Darius when his mom and sister start speaking in Farsi to others and he cant understand what's going on so he feels left out.......................

I researched the sport of soccer, and it is relevant to the story because Darius and his new friend Sohrab played soccer together against two other kids, and it seemed to be a big part of the story. I have learned about the origins of the sport like where it came from and how long it has been practiced and that has helped me understand how Sohrab has come to like the game.
