Let me point out that in Pride and Prejudice Mr. Wickham takes advantage of not only Lydia but Gerogiana who are both young. Wickhams character is rooted in his power to convince these young women he’s in love with them and use them. This with Wayman feels low stakes and honestly makes me think the author doesn’t understand p&p.

The fact Preston himself is a Swimmer at Stanford is even worse because Chanel Miller was assault at Stanford by a swimmer!!

If this author thinks Charlotte in pride and prejudice was a sell out then she doesn’t know her true character. I’m sorry that pissed me off when our main character said that Charlotte sold out by marrying Mr. Collins. That wasn’t her reason to marry him, back then marriage for some was a privilege and at times a proposition.
