This book is personal accounts from educated women. The author explains the reason only educated women were interviewed is that perhaps the ones less fortunate had either committed suicide or "fallen off the radar". I wish the author had shown the full range of effects of what growing up with a mentally ill parent does to a person. This means sometimes picking survival over education.
