The group made it to the ice camp and met Death. I love how they describe him and how they highlight how similar Death (Thanatos) is to Love (Cupid). It’s very interesting. I also love when Thanatos says, “…not fair. Yet it was her time. There is no fairness in death.” It’s so poetic and sad at the same time. I just love this book so much.

While Hazel was under the earth trying to get Percy she had her mom dream again. It was heaven and Gaea promised a life with Sammy and she told her his fate. Once the group escaped they headed to Hazel’s house and freshened up. Then the group ate but got attacked by gryphons. Now Arion took them and they’re headed to Hubbard Glacier

The group escaped Grandma Zhang’s house and headed to the plane ride. We got the cute moment of Hazel kissing Percy on the cheek. Then once they got to Alaska they ate and headed on a train. Then gryphons attacked them and they defeated them. Then they slept over at a gas station. Now they’re headed to Seward, but when Percy started walking, he fell into earth.

The group went to Canada. They defeated the laistragonians and headed into Frank’s house. I love his talk with marsssssss. It’s so sweet and has my favorite quote of the book, “Life is only precious because it ends kid.” Mars said that and like ughhhh. I just love this book and these characters so much.

I love how silly Hylla and Kinzie are. “It would be a shame if we accidentally gave you a key.” I just love them. Anywho, Hazel met Arion and the boys were stunned by how powerful Hazel is. Also I love how Hylla and Kinzie were like “we don’t hate boys, we just want them to know their place,” while enslaving them. They’re just silly gooses.

HYLLA!!!! So Hazel shared her past with Frank in their blackout and he gave her his piece of wood. Then they headed to SEATTLE! They went to Amazon and met KINZIE! Also I forgot how funny the amazons are, “are those slaves?” “What? No. They’re just men who know their place.” I mean, Kinzie’s not wrong. Anywho, I just love Hylla so much. HYLLA!!!

So…Percy almost died. It okay though, he didn’t. Phineas did though, it was great. I love how this trio is growing, we can really see their relationship develop more and more, and I don’t mean just Frank and Hazel. I love this book!

“A big pile of schist.” “What?” I love this part, it really reminds me of the dam joke. Anywho, not much happened, though Hazel got kidnapped by wheat and the group created a wheat massacre of them.

How Hazel died got told and the boys helped her with her blackout. Then she got carried away, I love the wheat guys.

The three went to the senate meeting and Octavian is so ughhh. Anywho, after Percy had a meeting with Reyna and I just love her and feel so bad for her. Also I wish he didn’t reject the Praetorship as much, I forgot how much she was hiding her pain and sadness. Anywho, then the three headed to get on the Roman Navy, and the floating box is the saddest excuse of a boat.
