I haven't read Hillbilly Elegy, but Benjamin Lorr writes about truck drivers the way I imagine JD Vance writes about poor people (negatively). On the last page he manages to call them 'unclean' while also glorifying their work and lives, as if he didn't just spend the last 20 pages talking about the horrible working conditions and pay.

Did y'all know that Aldi is actually 2 companies, and one of them operates the Aldi stores in the US, and the other owns Trader Joes? I'm learning so much and really looking forward to forgetting all of it as soon as I finish the book.
