“Do this, and I will protect you,” Kazi whispered. Felix watched his lips move, forming the words. “Help me and I will fight for you, against them, against the Brotherhood. I don’t want to lose myself, Felix. I can’t be the blood prince again. Save me from that and I’ll save you from them.”

Felix looked up into startlingly beautiful eyes. “Who is going to save me from you?”

Famous for looking pretty? What a joke. Kazimir was tall and pale, with jaw-length black hair that held a hint of a wave. He had one of those faces that was probably classified as ugly in high school, with too many sharp lines, pouting lips and a feminine glamor to his eyes. Even Felix could admit the prick was pretty. His smile lit up the damn room. And his laugh…Well, fuck. That was just another reason to hate him.

“This is maybe not the time, but… if I suck you off, is it safe? I won’t… y’know… grow fangs?”

Kazi peered through his lashes and smirked like a bastard. “Wanna fuck around and find out?”

“Be grateful it’s us here and not Mikalis.” Eric held out the small blood testing device.

“This Mikalis is bad?”

“Only if you like breathing.”

Kazimir laughed now, as though he’d heard Felix’s thoughts, and Felix fought to suppress a snarl. He’d never hated a man more. Kazimir was the reason he’d lost his job, his wife, his kid, his fucking home. But that was okay, because Kazimir Skokan had secrets, and Felix was going to reveal every single one—see how his rabid fans turned on him then.

He ached to hold him closer, to breathe him in and love him, and keep him safe in a world that had already proven deadly. As he stroked in and out, driving Felix toward breathless ecstasy, he vowed to live for this man, and this man only. Kazi wasn’t Brotherhood, not anymore. He wasn’t nyktelios. He was Kazi, Felix’s other half.
