I'm almost finished, so I'm dragging this back out of "want to read" and into "currently reading." It's been a rough journey at times.

I've been putting off getting on with this book because I knew the next chapter was going to go into detail about the torture and murder of cats in Europe. I tried, but it got so brutally intense I had to start skipping. Christianity has been about power, not benevolence. Jesus would definitely weep at how his words have been twisted by popes, preachers and politicians. I'm hating the stupid cat photos!

I finished the second chapter. I really enjoy reading about the history of cats, but I don't understand the need for all those photos of the beautiful tabby in various costumes. They demean the dignity of the cat and bloat the file size of the Kindle edition while doing nothing to enhance the story.

I'm actually reading the Kindle version, but once again it's not listed as an option.
