Why do authors make their FMCs in cozy mysteries so annoying?
I was hoping for more because I really enjoyed the author’s other series. But this one is not as good. The narrator for the audiobooks is not that great.

It could be that the narrator sounds so young and also chooses a weird affect when she reads the male parts but it feels like Lana is much younger than 30 and it creeps me out that she’s having a thing with the Chief of Police who’s in his 40s. The way she reads his lines make him sound smarmy and inappropriate.
