The Norwood Troubles is so phenomenal. Shot up on my ranking for this anthology. So many interesting elements, and Maurice’s prose is immaculate. Definitely will be revisiting this.

Also finished A Grief of the Dead. It had great ideas and the writing was pretty fantastic. It has given me a lot to think about, and ended on such a phenomenal line:

This makes me want to sit down and write a short story fictionalizing things i find terrifying. I fear I will be thinking about the foreword and what my own oubliette will be. I love horror so fucking much.
