I loved this recent chapter. Lauren is teaching Earthseed and building it with strangers. The last few chapters have been so dark and the end of chapter 18 they are all relaxed and eating and enjoying each others company and making light of the dark times.

Wow…this book is already hitting too close to home. Ch 2 and Lauren has asked every question about God that I have asked. The fact that a hurricane killing 700 people was projected to be a big incident back in 1990s when this happens so often now that we are actually in the 2020s. Octavia is a genius and I’m just getting started.
