I really like how all of the twists and shocker moments are presented

The story gets consistently more compelling as it goes on. I’m not story compelled by the “creature” yet but big emphasis on the yet. I like that Darcy is very willing to show the creature.

I really like the way Darcy writes so far, I’m glad that I choose this book as my introduction to her work. I like that she didn’t shy away from starting off with some action and horror, and that even now while we’re setting up the rest of the story nothing feels clunky or bland. The stand out character for me so far is actually Todd, it amazes me how much I can be compelled by such a frustrating character.
