Out of context, "Jesus is not Gregory Peck" is such a bizarre sentence to read 😭😭😭😭😭

This is possibly becoming the Book of the Year for me. "God himself does not give answers. He gives himself"! "Astonishment and joy are what our faith finally points to"!! Poetry is, "more than polemics or philosophy, logic, or theology", the "language of truth"!!! And MORE on King Lear and Jesus' weeping and Abraham and Sarah's laughter and what it means to listen to both the silence and the word!! I'm going INSANE

I can't read this too fast because it's too good to rush!!! It's like eating a very rich very decadent very flavorful slice of chocolate cake!! I must go one slow bite at a time!!
