I've barely finished the first chapter and I've already had to put it down for a few days, the tears are burning my eyes and my heart hurts. I picture my nephews any time I hear about Tamir Rice. My heart aches for them and all children and men and women who will as the mother in the first chapter rer says experience such fear "all of their lives" unless we figure out how to make it stop.
