The Heir to the Empire art is ugly. Dark Force Rising has better character designs and somewhat less limited emotional range, but they have much simpler ship details than the first six issues. Luke's lightsaber is the wrong color. Half the time, Leia doesn't even look pregnant, and the story is overly simplified. Way too much fan service/ male gaze of Mara Jade.
