I'll be interested in your opinion of this book, David. I love his Perry Mason books but I really didn't like the Cool and Lam characters.

People have different tastes and, of course, that's fine. I've read a few of the PM novels. I liked them - but I prefer the Cool & Lam books. It's not so much that I think C&L are great (or better) characters but I prefer the more 'noir' feel of the C&L books. And I don't particularly want to spend that much time 'in' courtrooms.
