Reading this again because I finished the og trilogy and SoTR. I thought I might like this more if I was invested in panem again. (First read, it had been a long time since I’d read the whole series.)
I don’t. Snow is unsympathetic. He’s selfish and manipulative from the start. Lucy Gray is charming but I don’t know why she loves him and I don’t think he loves her.

Ok maybe at the VERY start. He’s trying to get by and doesn’t have food or the right clothes. Makes sense that he’s bitter. I also think the narration isn’t doing anything to endear him to me
