Part Two finished. The pace really doesn't seem to have picked up. Most of the subject matter seems to be of little consequence, yet all the while there are references to what happens later on after Kathy, Ruth and Tommy leave the Cottages. Perhaps the story is deliberately ordinary on the surface?
