genuinely one of the most misogynistic books i’ve ever picked up with way too much melodrama when all i wanted was some ghosts and some horror. manfred top 3 most unlikable characters ever. even the “good” men are just annoying by being SO chivalrous and nice like grow some backbone. how did this book become a classic 💀
