A Rose for Miss Emily-
Full of quintessential Faulkner motifs. The old south, racism, southern gothic, decay and disfunctional families Faulkner gives this short story an unexpected twist. Miss Emily can be seen as a tragic heroine but I love her stubborn streak, not exactly Caddy Compson, but a woman who knew her own mind. The more I read the more I enjoy Faulkner.
