You can see them, but like with everything else, they are overshadowed by huge book cover pictures and descriptions:(

:( I really truly will help with making a plugin to alter the stylesheet.. But last time I made this offer on a status my comments were deleted.
Not really seeing them either. I have to go to the "friend" feed to see status updates.
