It's the kind of prose that I dream of writing. Such honest-to-God-truthfulness. Raw yet pointed. Heart wrenching without a touch of sentimentality. I am in Love with this child narrator, who is very much a child and not an adult peering through a child's lens. In awe of this beautiful book. What a gift!
