the intro was soooo good but idk how i feel about this translation. in some ways it's better than the other translation of sholem aleichem stories i have esp bc it includes a lot of the tanakh quotes he says in Hebrew, but in other ways... he translates bli ayin hara as "touch wood" and avraham avinu as "Father Abraham" ??? wtf. all i want is a tevye translation geared to people who know the jewish phrases
