I just don’t love that I have to read feminine rage in the form of giant bionicle fought alien battles, ok? Sue me. I’m going into this book with the wrong mindset, but I’m gritting my teeth to start this. I purchased the book before knowing it was YA because someone said I would like this if I was looking for something like the Poppy War but less disappointing. I hope to be proven wrong, but I think my problems TPW triology were the YA elements. TBD
