We have to fight an active war in our minds every day. He commanded us to love Him with our minds. How can we do that while entertaining thoughts of self-pity and envy? If there are thoughts in our minds that are not thankful, that are not focused on His goodness, that are not remembering His constant mercy, then they are sinful and have no place in us.
