There is an interesting idea at its heart, but it is so tedious, as another reviews said that I will probably DNF.
I don't mind the derivativeness but it's so self conscious about it that it distances me from THESE characters and THIS story.
I read it was published when CR was 22 and, yeah, that could explain a lot of the random philosophical musings. And why it sounds like a teenager trying to sound old and wise.
