once people started pointing it out, it became increasingly hard not to start spotting them myself!Which is really disappointing because I think the initial concept ("merchant prince builds banking empire") could've been really neat if it confined itself to that narrow scope. And it didn't even need to have ANY connection to Lymond!
(Sweet Lordy, I still don't understand why the old fans were so reluctant to admit this series was just an attempt to do Lymond II... As I was telling Clodia, it's bittersweet to see the newer fans seeing it so clearly now.)
