So far liking this book - it is very much meant for upper middle grade and it's written as if he's speaking to a 13 year old boy in a kind of "pep talk" way. As a parent of two boys I'm finding it valuable to read ahead of that age to be reminded of what will be going on in these kids heads. I do think this is a book both parents should listen to and decide together if they'd like their son to read or listen to it.
