Probably should mention, this book is set in the 1740’s. Scotland may have changed a bit, but definitely getting the history of the country!

Began reading this book set in Scotland in preparation for my trip to Scotland in July 2025. I always try to read a book that will help me to understand at least some of the intricacies of a place that I have never been before. Makes the trip more interesting!
