Professor Case is correct to say that the disease of nationalism was only introduced to the Ardeal/Erdely/Siebenbürgen as well as to Hungary and Romania proper in the 19th century. Vlad Bassarab III made zero attempts and evinced zero desire to add Ardeal/Erdely/Siebenbürgen to his domain, and he was never one to hesitate when he perceived a challenge to his rule.
