This presented itself to me as a series of vignettes, and I love the author’s style of stream of consciousness writing. A glimpse into the realities of a woman trying to rebuild her life after divorce — not dramatically, with sourness or any sign of regret — that barely ever brings the husband in, unless in relation to the children. Each chapter could stand on its own but, as a whole, the book is gorgeous too.
