Zelie has a lot of untamed rage and anger towards Inan. The maji are at war with the Monarchy. Inan and Amari seem to be the only voices of reason. I am not sure if I like the pace of this second book. I don't know if I am being impatient or not, but there is just something that has me not as excited to continue reading

OMG! Chapters 29 and 30! I was about to throw the book across the room. Ramaya's reckless ego and untamed rage was the fuel to her complacency. Consequently, she underestimated Amari. She was a such a Bitch! And now she's in the infirmary. Can't say I feel bad for her. She is a bully.

And Zelie's complete inability to stand up for Amari. After everything they've been through. That shit was pissing me off so bad.
