At this point in the book I am not liking Connie or Albie one bit. The whole trip Douglas has bend his way to do whatever they please.. actually he has done this all his life. Adjusting his life and taking interests in subjects only because he loves Connie. And now that a very important subject for Douglas comes up, nobody seems interested. I would be pissed as well.

Apparently I’ve read this book already in 2015. I cannot remember this anymore.. my first impression of the book is that I feel quite sad for Douglas. He has a good heart and is a hard worker. Just because he isn’t an extravert it seems like he never really fits in. He has to work hard to belong. With his friends but also with his family. I hope he will feel more at ease later in the book.
