In the first few pages we learn that the scoundrel Figaro had been stealing horse medicine and selling it to people as human medicine. It’s supposed to be funny. Now, over two hundred years later, people were taking horse medicine on purpose because of Covid. How can people have grown more ignorant over the last two centuries? Just wondering.
